The pandemic caused disruptions to the global supply chain on an unprecedented scale, including supply discontinuity, changes in customer demand and buying patterns, and production disruptions due to a limited inventory. Supply Chain Management (SCM) service providers have played a crucial role in supporting enterprises in maintaining business continuity, managing disruptions, and navigating through the crisis. They are also increasingly helping enterprises embark on digital transformation journeys to become more resilient in dealing with uncertainties and disruptions in the future. They continue to strengthen their domain expertise, operational abilities, and digital capabilities through continued investments in enhancing their in-house capabilities and acquisitions and alliances with technology providers to cater to client requirements.
