The commoditized and fragmented contingent staffing industry has relied heavily on technology to create differentiation. The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated technology adoption and significantly impacted the contingent staffing landscape. As enterprises embarked on their digital transformation journeys, they encountered a significant shortage of talent with next-generation skills. Meanwhile, candidates and clients increasingly preferred digital-led processes to engage with recruiters. This impelled the staffing industry to introduce innovative technologies in their hiring processes. Today, digital platforms and tools are increasingly driving the staffing industry, and providers are continuously evolving their tech stacks to plug the gaps in digital adoption. According to Everest Group, digital-led staffing will be one of the most significant differentiators for staffing providers over the next decade.

In this report, we discuss the emergence of digital-led staffing as a key enabler for staffing providers and its impact on key stakeholders. The research will benefit staffing providers that are transforming into organizations increasingly driven by technology.
