The ecosystem of D&A players has successfully educated the market on the value of evidence-based decision-making versus traditional gut-based and thumb rule-based approaches. The pandemic has further emphasized the need for agile, data-driven decision-making and positioned D&A as an essential navigation tool to improve business outcomes and customer and employee experience. This emphasis has driven enterprises with varying levels of digital maturity to increase their D&A adoption initiatives to stay relevant and competitive.

However, enterprises face various challenges in scaling their initiatives based on D&A adoption maturity. To effectively service their needs, service providers are evolving from specialists to end-to-end players. They are building a talent pipeline and aligning their technology portfolios with a combination of unified offerings with modular components and industry-/use case-specific point solutions to ensure both breadth of coverage and speed of delivery. Leaders in the D&A space have displayed this broader D&A vision and bridged portfolio gaps to build a complete services suite.

In this research, we analyze the global D&A service provider landscape in 2020 and position the providers on Everest Group’s D&A Services PEAK Matrix® 2021. We also share our analysis on the strengths and limitations of each service provider.
