Risk Radar Newsflash | Recent Volcanic Activity in Guatemala: No Significant Impact on Global Services Delivery

On June 3, 2018, Guatemala had the deadliest volcanic eruption since 1929. There were more than 100 casualties and this event adversely impacted lives of more than 1.7 million people. While rescue efforts are still on in some parts of the country, it is important to note that there was no significant disruption to business in the capital, Guatemala City, as a result of this event. Although the disruption occurred approx. 25 miles (roughly 40 kms) from Guatemala City, players did not report any major disruption to their operations.
