In the wake of the new government taking charge in the United States, the future of Affordable Care Act (ACA), commonly called Obamacare, is set to change. The Republican Party (and many market participants) has been calling for a change in the landmark healthcare reform. President-elect Donald Trump had vowed to repeal the ACA in his election campaign. However, he has recently announced that a complete repeal of the act is not on the cards, leaving an air of uncertainty around the future of the ACA.

In this Everest Group viewpoint we discuss how the future of ACA would be altered with the changing political and market dynamics. We analyze various aspects from the lens of payers, providers, and consumers.
