DevOps advocates collaboration amongst the development, operations, and testing teams to help enterprises improve their software development and deployment cycles. Though in recent years, we have been witnessing a shift in the market wherein enterprises are investing significantly in DevOps to drive measurable outcomes aligned to business objectives. Despite this investment, enterprises are not able to achieve their specific objectives, as they have been taking a siloed approach and adopting DevOps in pockets, rather than end-to-end. In the current market context, the end-to-end DevOps model is adopted by only 20% of enterprises. Apart from this the burden of legacy accumulated over the years, establishing an organization-wide collaborative culture, and the lack of niche talent prove to be major hurdles to a scaled and successful DevOps adoption for an enterprise.

Service providers should keep in mind three key elements, advanced automation, collaborative culture, and infrastructure as a service, to help enterprises achieve significant business impact through DevOps and overcome challenges. They should leverage new-age technologies such as AI, blockchain, and advanced analytics across the three key elements to develop custom solutions compatible with the enterprises’ technology landscape.

Overall enterprises need to break silos – reform their organization and vendor landscape – to be able to achieve their DevOps aspirations

In this research, we present an assessment and detailed profiles of 20 DevOps service providers featured on the DevOps services PEAK Matrix. Each service provider profile provides a comprehensive picture of its service focus, key Intellectual Property (IP) / solutions, domain investments, as well as a minimum of two case studies.
