Employee Experience (EX) is the sum of all the interactions an employee has with various organizational elements – technology, environment, and organization and culture – that shape cognitive behavior toward the organization and the occupation. It is vital for every organization to track EX and improve it, as a positive EX translates into better business performance. EX merits special attention in the times of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has shifted workforce globally to a Work From Home (WFH) environment.

Employee Experience Management (EXM) is the process of capturing, understanding, and managing the experiences of employees throughout the employee life cycle. An EXM platform makes this herculean task easier by enabling enterprises to collect and analyze employee sentiment, facilitate engagement across various employee touchpoints, and take action to improve the overall experience, culture, and productivity. This study examines EXM platforms and analyzes their various components and features. It will help enterprises in assessing the platforms’ benefits, vendor landscape, and best implementation practices, as well as in onboarding the right technology partner.
