RPA is rapidly gaining traction across industries and geographies as more enterprises are becoming aware of the technology’s benefits. These benefits include reduction in costs, increased operational efficiency & quality, increased workforce productivity, enhanced customer & employee experience, and quick time-to-value. A growing number of success stories and positive word of mouth are fueling widespread adoption. Despite – or perhaps because of – this rapid adoption, most RPA adoption journeys of enterprises are far from smooth, as they face multiple challenges, particularly in scaling up their RPA projects. For the most part, enterprises struggle with these challenges because they fail to follow a programmatic approach and determine the best-fit execution path.

In this paper, we help enterprises understand different programmatic approaches to RPA adoption and what those approaches’ respective synergies with their organizations could be. We also outline the best-fit execution path for each approach.

This paper addresses the following topics:

  • The key phases in a traditional enterprise RPA adoption journey
  • The most common challenges in each phase of the journey
  • The different programmatic approaches to RPA adoption, including advantages and disadvantages of each approach
  • How enterprises can select the right programmatic approach based on various environmental factors
  • How the execution paths will be different based on the selected programmatic approach
