On February 18, 2016, IBM announced plans to acquire Truven Health Analytics, a provider of healthcare data integration and analytics solutions and services, for US$2.6 billion. This was IBM’s fourth major acquisition under its Watson Health unit since IBM Watson was established in 2014.
