Oct. 01, 2021With accelerating digital transformation and enterprises adding more services and applications to their networks, the traditional Wide Area Network (WAN) is no longer efficient in handling enterprises’ network requirements. Thus, enterprises are increasingly adopting Software-defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) solutions, which offer better network traffic management, visibility, and security, along with lower operating costs and investment. However, these solutions are marked by several adoption challenges, such as interoperability issues, concerns around change management, lack of trained resources, and poor visibility into application performance. Thus, enterprises are looking for the right partners to ensure successful SD-WAN deployments and to supplement their digital transformation journeys. In this research, we present detailed assessments of 16 service providers featured on the SD-WAN Services PEAK Matrix® and categorize them as Leaders, Major Contenders, and Aspirants based on their capabilities and offerings. July 23, 2021In the past 12-18 months, the move to work-from-home as a result of the pandemic has driven a significant increase in digital transformation. Enterprises’ efforts to provide their employees seamless and secure connectivity through network transformation and rapid cloud adoption further accelerated the development of next-generation network technologies. Going forward, network transformation initiatives will gain even more momentum with next-generation network technologies such as private 5G networks, SDN, and IoT/edge networks.
